Add or type plain text without P tag, line break tag

I can't figure out how to write text inside a div without adding a P tag ... like this:

<div>sometext</div>

Also, I can't figure out how to use the <br> tag ...

What a I missing? THX Gary

Try searching on this subject and you will see some thread about this already ?

haha Chris, I didn't see that you posted this and was just going to say the same thing because I found it when searching for it.

Do a search for hmmmm how about br tag lol You'll find it in the top 10 or so items pretty easily.
