Drag and Drop help

I was under the impression from a few marketing videos that I could drag and drop a basic website. What I discovered, however, is that I need to code. That said, I can code a site the old-fashioned way, but I could have done this without dropping $ to buy the software.

Bootstrap Studio doesn’t require you to code anything. Out the box, you are given all the elements of the Bootstrap CSS framework to create sites with.

Bootstrap Studio does allow you to add your own HTML, CSS, or JavaScript to create more custom designs or implement your own website features, however this isn’t a requirement.

Since you seem very new to the application, you might want to start here, at the Bootstrap Studio Academy. There’s plenty of videos talking through how to use the application and how to get started.

I’ll check it out. FYI, still need to code for breakpoints. They should add this formatting feature.

Thanks

You absolutely can drag-and-drop a basic website. But if you want to make components look or function in distinctly different ways from the stock options available via Bootstrap’s utility classes, then you would need to write CSS and possibly some JS.

Not sure by what you mean by,

Bootstrap is a fully responsive framework, and most any Bootstrap component that has breakpoint specific options can be customized via the options panel. For example, if you want a paragraph component to be center justified at the XS breakpoint, and left justified at the LG breakpoint, you can do this entirely though the settings in the Options panel. But if you wanted to have the text change colors at different breakpoints, then yes, you’d need to write your own CSS and add a media query.

Put simply, as long as there is a breakpoint-specific utility class for it, you should be able to find a visual setting in the options panel. One exception would be the margin and padding options, which can either be added directly by typing them into the Attributes > Class Names field, or using the visual assistant that appears on outline of an component when it’s selected in the workspace.
