Some of the ideas for additional app functionality presented in this forum have merit but, as the developers have pointed out, would make the app too bloated if implemented in the core product. I think that it would be a great idea to have something like a plug-in repository with official and unofficial (made by the community) plugins and scripts that extend the app's core functionality. I don't know if the current app architecture permits easy authoring of plugins but if it does - or is modified to have such extensibility - it could dramatically boost its popularity (and usefulness for a lot of user cases).
To build on the idea, some plug-ins could even be purchasable, giving a strong incentive to build community generated content.
I totally support this +1 especially for script support (php, python)
