Bootstrap crashes and closes when trying to preview or export

I’m building the website, it’s getting big, the blog has 334 pages.

Suddenly the preview started crashing the design, and now I can't export the site. It freezes and crashes the design.

I’m really worried, I need help.

I think at 334 pages you maybe pushing past the use case for BSS as a site host and CMS - especially if the editor is now crashing.

BSS’s hosting option is great for small sites and testing purposes, and the blog system kind of ties into that, a couple posts and it’s really handy.

But at the scale you’re working at, you’ve probably outgrown it. Bootstrap Studio shines as being a site designer and building out systems still at any scale.

Migrating to a host and CMS isn’t too hard though, so I’d suggest looking into that next.

If you need any support and suggestions, do let me know!

Thank you for your help.

I’m working remotely, it’s not published yet.

I can only access the site through the internal preview.

I noticed that suddenly it started taking longer to display the preview.

Now I can’t even see the site, nor export it.

I’m really afraid of losing all the work I’ve done; it won’t export as a single file.

Let me reach out to you in DMs

Do you have BSS’s backup feature enabled? You should be able to open earlier versions of your website that way, before the problems started

If possible can you send us the bsdesign file to our email? We would like to get to the bottom of this.

Hi @franco_giba, I mentioned the issue to @martin a while ago, and it is a real concern. As @catkin mentioned, it is the case for using a CMS; many of us have switched to Bootstrap Studio seeking peace of mind. I believe the future of Bootstrap Studio is to expand on the CMS side that is missing, the current blog functionality is okay but not great.
I buy themes from the marketplace to support BS, but there are only a handful of small/medium-sized websites that I can handle; the larger ones are still running on WP. I think AI is just another shiny object, and I formally ask that CMS functionality be prioritised.
Cloudflare is now launching its own CMS initiative.
