Cant open design - URGENT

Hi there,

I have been working on a website for a client whom is paying me. The site is live and has been up for some weeks. I wanted to add some changes to the site today and started editing. Mid edit, bootstrap studio went black and froze. I restarted bootstrap studio, opened my design and was hit with a pop up

Opps something went wrong, Cant open this file

I have 5 or 6 backups of the same project and each and everyone does the same thing. I even tried resetting my Boostrap like mentioned here Can't open Bootstrap Studio - #2 by psychoman with no luck. I have also re-installed several times.

Any ideas on how to resolve this ?

If ALL your backups aren’t opening, it’s highly unlikely they all became corrupt, so it sounds like something went bad with the program installation. Just reinstalling may not be enough. You probably need to delete/uninstall the original installation completely, delete the user data folder(s), and start from scratch, including re-registering the program with your original license key. Keep in mind, this will erase any customizations you’ve done, your downloaded components, etc. So you may also want to backup first.

We received the bsdesign via email and sent a fixed version. For urgent matters it’s best to reach out to us via email directly. The forum adds an unnecessary delay.

Thank you Martin and thank you Bootstrap team. You sorted the issue. Great work.

Issue apparently was I had a PNG image on my website with improper naming e.g " .png" instead of “filename.png”.

I seemed to have left out the file name which was my own fault.

Thanks again bootstrap team. Great support.

So the program worked, but just not with one particular website? That was the clue you left out of your first post. I assumed you weren’t able to open any sites at all.
