Css won't get saved when I copy&paste it on to the VS code and press save

I get the following error

css won't save

I checked the code seems to working fine, I’m using the external code editor feature.

“by the way I would really appreciate it if I can edit the html same as I do with CSS, JS.”
Or just being able to edit the codes on the studio itself directly.

I would suggest running your code through The W3C CSS Validation Service

If your CSS passes the validator check and the app still refuses to import it, can you send the code to us so we can investigate further?
