I would find it very practical if the custom component could load its contents from an external text file at the time time of production. Ideally, the filename could be specified with a placeholder (i.e. $pagename$ ) so I can use linked copies and it will still load different external files.
I know, I can use a script to insert my external data, but this obviously does not work for preview. I also know serverside includes, but they present a security risk.
I believe this feature would be a good extension because it can help to keep large texts out of the BSS project. This makes the text easier to edit and/or to translate. It would also make it possible to share the same text in different projects.
