Help With Getting Video To Work

I host my videos on bunny.net

I have tried everyhting I can think of to get them to show and play in BSS.

The options I have in Bunny are…

Embed or Direct Play

<div style="position:relative;padding-top:56.25%;"><iframe src=" https://iframe.mediadelivery.net/embed/208525/85a573ec-a6ed-4be1-8a1c-b105efe03440?autoplay=false&loop=false&muted=false&preload=false&responsive=true " loading="lazy" style="border:0;position:absolute;top:0;height:100%;width:100%;" allow="accelerometer;gyroscope;autoplay;encrypted-media;picture-in-picture;" allowfullscreen="true"></iframe></div>

Any Help appreciated

Your test video loads for me

Hello
How did you make it show in BSS, what component did you use ?

Ian

As in, within the program?

Yes, I have tried various componets and neither display the video.
I even tried a HTML5 component from the online section

The video won’t show within the application on the canvas as the video is in an iframe and needs JavaScript to run, and the program won’t run any JavaScript.

Even though it wont show in the application, should it not show when I chosse preview ?

You didn’t say that it was the preview you had issues with when I asked you to clarify if your expectation was it should show in the program.

If it not showing in the preview in your browser, then try using the browser developer tools to see what isn’t loading, and the error code for it to not be loading.

Sorry my mistake, After restarting BSS the video now shows in preview when using the Custom Code component and pasing in the embed code.

I’m glad to hear that solution worked

Have I posted something to break the forum rules ?

No, not at all.

There are many dozens of posts in this forum like yours where people have asked questions that ended up being non-issues - often because they found a solution before anyone could give them help, or like you, fixed the problem with a simple restart.

Posts like these don’t serve any useful purpose. The problem is that they still show up in searches, which kind of makes them like “static” when a person is looking for a genuine solution to a problem.

The are also hundreds of posts with links to examples that no longer exist (broken links.) People who find these posts get frustrated (understandably) because the solution they need is gone.

In the interest of having a “tidy” forum, normally a moderator would remove posts like these (housekeeping.) This forum, however, is largely unmoderated, which is kind of unusual. It’s something I was discussing with @catkin recently.

I understand and I fully agree with your comments, its a shame we cannot delete our own posts or at least marke them as “Solved” with reason.

Forums like this are a valuable tool especially for those like me who is new to BS and BSS.

Once you reach a certain user level in the forum, the forum software (Discourse) does grant you the ability to delete your own comments left on posts. But I believe only those with admin status can actually delete (or move) a topic.

Discourse does have a “Solved” plugin that allows users to mark a topic as solved by accepting a specific reply as the solution, but I guess it’s not active on this forum.

@martin Perhaps it would be good to enable the Solved plugin in DIscourse’s settings?
