Thank you for the screenshot! This is supported, but is not on by default. You can switch it on by enabling Show Box Model in the Stage menu.

@martin It would actually be helpful at times if hovering over an element showed the elements dimensions, the way Chrome’s F12 developer tools does. As far as I know, the only way to to see an elements dimensions in BSS is to have the Appearance panel open, with the Layout section visible.
