I’m guessing we package everything in a zip file e.g. and have the user download it, then they simply File > Import Component > select everything.
Is this correct? Then how could I have a listing in the online components that links back to my site in order to get the components?
Project: I developed the BootstrapStudioToDjango GUI script (PyQt5). The licensing of PyQt means I can’t really close the source. I’m making some major modifications to it. It will support inserting Ajax components into your BSS design, and both the boilerplate JS and Django-side python will be auto-generated for you, so that these buttons work right after placement / export to your Django templates.
But the package of components with preset attributes is something I could sell for maybe $10, and it will include various BSS components that make use of BSStoDjangoAjaxStubs export script.
The user then exports, the GUI pops up, and there are buttons that will open up either PyCharm or Wing or VSCode (for JS) to the correct place to start editing the function. This is high-code. The user is not crippled at all by the process. It’s akin to C# .Net / C++ development in VS, where you can auto-generate function prototoypes and jump to the code to start editing.
The code will be public for the export script, so you will not be required to purchase the component pack, but you will be required to have a copy of Wing or PyCharm / Bootstrap Studio itself of course.
