Six years ago, I created two websites in WordPress for a hippotherapy society. Since it was a free template, there were limitations to formatting the text nicely and displaying the images correctly. Recently, after an automatic update, I lost the ability to edit some pages.
I just translated these pages in bootrapstudio with a little effort.
Size of new pages 30 MB, old 1.8 GB !!!

FYI - Many of the images being used as links could be reduced in size, further reducing your page sizes and improving loading speed.
Thank you, You’re right, I limited myself to two image sizes for all displays. A good practice is the same image with sizes adjusted to specific resolutions.
In Bootrapstudio, it’s easy.
