I’ve been playing around with various options including node.js react/next.js options to create a simple cms to be usable with bss. All work great on localhost but wanted something that could be used on the bss.design server.
Here is what I have come up with using a free airtable account, and vanilla javascript.

This is very cool, pretty much exactly what I am asking for in ‘reflow as a blog’.

The design/html is created in bss, and it runs on 4 javascript files
So you would have code something like
<h1 id="artTitle"> </h1>
<h4 id="artSummary"> </h4>
<div id="artContent"> </div>
Then the script would add the correct info to each element, allowing you to use any design.

Thank you. My question is related to the article page(s) themselves. The url of the pages for example the last two from the Read More have different slugs such as article.html?id=recimywR9z4zYRCd9 for the second to last and article.html?id=recOMJPkeMqR6GLIG for the last one which I assume was added in you video demo. I am trying to wrap my mind around how those are created?
Are you using a reflow component perhaps ?
When you call the airtable api it will return a list of the articles in an array which would look something like:

As you can see the first entry is the “id”: “reckGQ0BSP8ocST2V”
I’ve set the javascript to create a link of:
'<a href="article.html?id=' + record.id + '">Read More</a>'
Then on the article page the javascript takes the ?id=reckGQ0BSP8ocST2V and loads only the data for that entry.

I was going to write a ‘how to’ the only problem is because it uses javascript to dynamically load the content then it isn’t good for SEO, or any google indexing. But if it is something you are interested in I will post.
