Site size over 20 megs

I was wondering why a site over 20megs is considered as a " design issue". Not an expert, but our site has now past that “threshhole”. As our site grows I don’t see how we can reduce the overall size. We use webp images ect… Would it not be better to analyse size issues ect. On a per page basis? Can someone explains why “overall” site size is a problem beyond 20 megs. Thanks.

need to see the site first before giving comment, imo.

This check is just a rule of thumb for the typical company/personal website people design in Bootstrap Studio. It’s there to prompt users to check if they are using unnecessarily large images in places where smaller ones will do. If you know what you are doing you can ignore the report.

Thanks Martin for the clarification.
