When inserting a link from the studio interface. The link adds a wrapped around the text. This causes problems with accessibility because underlines are considered from a view point as links and since the html property is already a link. It is a redundant and flagged issue with accessibility scans.
I’m not sure why this is added to the BS interface, but removing all these spans with this code is a pain and time consuming. Also, underline is from the print era meant to bring attention to a word in the newspaper. Underline in web has been conditioned to be a link. Screen readers do not pronounce differently for underline, so it would be nice to let the developer decide if underline is necessary.
Not sure if this is a bug, but rather a suggestion.
