Currently things are inserted at the end of the page and need to be moved around manually.
Actually, (at least it was until this update, haven't tested it since then lol) if you highlight an area in the Overview pane, it will paste it within that area, unless it is in a container and what you're pasting is in a container too of course. I do it all the time when I copy Linked items. They will usually go to the end of whatever area you have highlighted so you may still need to move it a bit, but not usually that much if you work it correctly.
