I’m currently testing Cline + local LLM to build some web projects and it’s using Bootstrap 5.3 for it’s elements etc.
And while it does well there are always some changes, I’d like to use Bootstrap Studio to manually adjust some items.
The issue is that I can import the files for the first time but once Cline added new things to existing pages it’s all out of sync and it starts to get messy. I can import the changed files and throw old stuff out but that feels very 1995 to do.
I’ve asked ChatGPT if there was a simple solution, but it said it was not really possible in a smart way. I could excluse files so Cline doesn’t change them but that doesn’t make really sense.
Do I hope ChatGPT is wrong and there’s also some way to just work on the actual files Cline created directly, bypassing the .bsproject file for example.
Else it might be a good idea to implement something which makes it possible to follow this direct editing flow. I can’t really imagine I’m the only one around using an AI agent which is actually able to do nice thing completely local.
I could of course look for another editor with Bootstrap support but since I bought Bootstrap Studio it would be nice if I can use it. I don’t do much web anymore but because of the current capabilities It’s fun trying to realise some older ideas I got, and I like Bootstrap Studio as an editor.
