Version 7.1 is out!

No one complained about it. We asked about it because it wasn’t communicated and at the purchase site it was always that premium themes are included with the lifetime license.

So, instead of buying two of the new themes ($39+$49) it’s cheaper to buy a new lifetime license ($59). This doesn’t make sense!

Thank you for the support guys! It’s thanks to your feedback and ideas that we’ve made Bootstrap Studio what it is today

This is true, it might be too generous right now but we don’t want to raise prices. Existing users should be getting a bundle deal in a newsletter this week. We always delay the newsletter a few days to make sure the release is stable.

This is nice!
Just wanted to ask about for a bundle but was to afraid about it.

Great tutorials!
Thank you for putting all the knowledge together!
When should we expect advanced part of the tutorials?

Anyone reading this should also please consider that it appears this Site Designer app has also not been updated in many years regarding frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation) etc. They still market and sell the app but seemingly stopped updating it ?

Hi Martin, the update looks good, Is there a demo page of the new Premium Templates so I can have a closer look?
Thanks Chris

You could create a marketplace to sell templates and take a comission. I would happily create some to make an extra $.

:flexed_biceps: This. The most underrated software. The best investment I made and it’s more than paid.

That’s something I’d love too, making and selling templates inside Bootstrap Studio. If the developers could take a cut of the sales, I’d be happy with them taking as much as 30% tbh - also makes sense since they provide the platform and application.

Another great update to an already fantastic piece of software!

I would pay 30% of comission with no problem if it helps to sustain this amazing app.

Yep, seems like the premium themes you get with a lifetime are only the ones that existed at the time you bought the app. Otherwise they give you a discount on the new themes (19 for all 3), but the discount is only available until the end of this week (do wish the discount period was a little longer though, especially when I only got the email mid-week).

When I got lifetime I was under the impression that premium themes were included. It didn’t explicitly say only those that existed at time of purchase. However I understand that adding new templates to lifetime users isn’t very cost effective if they don’t have as many annual or a la carte users.

I feel like that if it was communicated more verbosely that it was just current themes, it would still be perceived as a great deal. Yea it’s a little bumming but not like the software got crippled, and still have access to all the themes that were originally obtained, and the upgrade inclusion of them is still really inexpensive (even if the time period to obtain them is only a few days).

Agreed, when I was comparing a bunch of alternatives, BSS was the only one that seemed to give the option for a full suite for under 100 that didn’t require a subscription to keep it active (even if you didn’t get lifetime, you’re still able to use the version you have for life). And at the time getting all the themes included was even better.

It makes sense to charge for themes while giving a perk to existing users, they’ve basically given the software for less than a month’s internet bill (depending on where you live of course), which if you’re a bit creative can use to make much more than the provided themes.

I don’t need BSS, I can code a lot of stuff from scratch, I can just use wordpress for some folks. What I like about BSS is I can if needed just load up a basic static site, change a few things, and just be done with it if the need was that simple. And looking at the changelog before I purchased, I could tell it would be reasonably updated as needed, if at the very least to support new bootstrap changes.

Wow… that thing still exists?

Even with Avada theme (excellent for wordpress, with over hundred demo themes to install), you still need to pay something like $60 per domain you use it on. You also cannot import the hundreds of demo sites unless you’re prepared nuke your existing site (and you can’t import and test on a new domain to see how it plays with your content unless you’ve paid for a site license).

How do you know about this?
Did you get a newsletter or something?
I have a lifetime licence too but didn’t receive anything.

Yes in the New version 7.1 email that arrived this morning (a couple hours ago), when you click on “What’s New” it mentions the 3 new themes and then shows the special pricing at the bottom (the email link includes your license key in the what’s new page)

Ah, I didn’t click on the link from the E-Mail, that’s why I didn’t see it on the website.
Thanks for your reply!

I am 120% with you, I’m buying a template, not because I need it, but because I want to support this project and its developers (and gaze around at the amazing designs haha).

For me, BSS has paid for itself 100 times over.
